Parents Meeting Parents

Jack’s Helping Hand is proud to sponsor a program for parents of children with cancer to meet and talk with other parents in the same situation. We know that families facing the challenges of a child with cancer are vulnerable and need support. We are lucky to have the expertise of Susan Updegrove, RN, MFT, as our volunteer facilitator. Susan worked as a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice for 25 years in San Luis Obispo, and retired just two years ago. With her background in nursing, Susan has always had a special interest in working with those whose medical conditions have affected their lives. She has extensive experience working with family members ranging in age from three to eighty. For more information call (805) 547-1914 or email us at jhh@jackshelpinghand.org.
